DBSA NJ Announces Annual Conference & Fund Drive

By April 28, 2015February 22nd, 2020New Jersey

DBSA New Jersey’s Ninth Annual Conference for DBSA support group participants will be held Saturday, August 8, 2015, at the University Medical Center of Princeton at Plainsboro. We have launched a fundraising campaign to help pay for the conference. Donations may be made online at Fundrasr.com or mailed to us using this form.

Our mental health wellness conference will include presentations on new and developing treatments for mood disorders, mindfulness based therapies, access to mental health care, and opportunities and training for a career as a peer support specialist. Our keynote presentation will be from a peer speaking to a journey of challenges and recovery.

The conference is free of charge for participants in any DBSA support group. We are not, at this time, accepting registrations from others. Please contact us at info@dbsanewjersey.org or 1-888-829-2483 for more information. If you attend a DBSA meeting in New Jersey, information on how to register should be available at your meeting. If you participate in a DBSA support group outside New Jersey, or if information is not available at your meeting in New Jersey, please contact us to learn how to register.

New this year is our fundraising campaign to help pay conference expenses. Our goal is $1000. Donors giving at least $25 will receive recognition, unless anonymity is requested, as sponsors in our conference program.

If you are able to give, please use our online “crowdfunding” page (be sure to claim the $25 donation “perk” to be listed as a conference sponsor) or send a check using our form (information for sending your gift from your bank’s payment service is on the form). And help spread the word about our campaign to family members and friends, and through social media. Thank you!

Updated on July 23, 2015 to show our reduced goal of $1000. To date, we have raised $575.
