Peer Support Group_____
DBSA (Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance)
support groups are non-judgmental peer-support forums for people with
mood disorders, family
members, friends and others interested in supporting people living with mood
disorders. Meetings are led by trained volunteer facilitators who also have
mood disorders. See our brochure for information about our group and about mood disorders. Please be aware that our support group meeting rooms, all on the second floor, are not handicap accessible, but our lectures, which are on the first floor, are handicap accessible.
Peer support group meetings are held every Tuesday from 7:30 PM to 9:00 PM (except when Tuesday is a holiday). In addition to these weekly meetings for anyone with a mood disorder, and family and friends, we have concurrent meetings as follows:
The Young Adults (ages 18 to 30) peer support group is held the 1st Tuesday of the month from 7:30 PM to 9:00 PM (except for holidays). Young adults are welcome to the weekly peer group meetings as well.
Family & Friends support group meetings are held
on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month, from 7:30 PM to 9:00 PM (except when Tuesday is a holiday). Family & Friends are welcome at the peer group Tuesday meetings as well.
Meetings are held at Morristown Unitarian Fellowship on 21 Normandy Heights Road .
Call 908-377-5245 after 6pm during hazardous weather to check if meeting is cancelled.
DBSA group meetings are free of charge. A
voluntary donation to cover various literature, mailing and rent costs
for the group is, of course, always appreciated.
