Advocacy Workshop on June 7

By March 16, 2014February 22nd, 2020New Jersey

We are pleased to announce that DBSA and DBSA New Jersey will present an advocacy workshop for support group participants, and friends of our organization. The workshop will be held on Saturday, June 7 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick, NJ.

We are developing a public advocacy effort to influence legislation and public policy in New Jersey, and to fight mental health stigma. The workshop will help us develop an advocacy strategy that corresponds with the interests and willingness to commit of workshop participants. We anticipate there will be roles for people willing to act publicly, and for those whose comfort is with working “behind the scenes.”

Please join us on June 7. You may register by completing the form on our advocacy workshop page, by e-mail to info@dbsanewjersey.org or phone at 888-829-2483. The workshop is FREE, including a light breakfast and lunch, though we do ask that you make a donation ($10 suggested) to DBSA upon check-in.
